What was changed?

The new BC Societies Act mandated a complete rewrite of the documents, so it is not practical to highlight all the changes.

The major changes are:

  1.   The removal of the “purposes” from the Constitution and placing them in the Bylaws  (this was mandated by the new Act).

  1.   The creation of 3 classes of members with all residents being nominal members and those who pay the annual dues being voting members.

  1.   The elimination of direct election of table officers at the AGM with the elected board being given the task of selecting the President, treasurer etc.  from the slate elected at the AGM
